PRESS RELEASE

Issued 22nd March 2017 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bell & Company celebrated doubling their initial target and hitting the ‘jackpot ‘after raising over £10,000 at their first ever casino-themed gala ball, held at Titanic Belfast on 3rd March. The glittering event was raising funds for the vital services the NSPCC NI provides to support children and their families at the hands of child abuse here in Northern Ireland.

The Titanic Belfast venue glowed the emblematic ‘NSPCC Green’ on the night in a bid to raise awareness for the charity. The Gala ball was a remarkable evening and a testament to the hard work of all involved with over 250 people in attendance. Bell & Company Staff, NSPCC NI Representatives, Clients, Associates and Sponsors alike had an unforgettable time from the moment they walked into the until carriages at 1am.

Guests enjoyed a drinks reception, a gourmet three-course meal, and entertainment from Just Adam band and Ballroom Blitz Dancers whilst the evening was hosted to perfection by local celebrity Pamela Ballantine. The audience was touched by a heart-wrenching yet inspirational speech by NSPCC ambassador David Tait MBE.

Terry Bell, Director at Bell & Company, said: “Everyone in attendance had a fantastic time and it was a truly memorable night. Words can’t even express how delighted we are with the funds raised. It costs the charity £12,000 a day to run its NSPCC helpline so the funds raised by our team will contribute greatly ”

“A massive thank you goes to everyone that attended and our sponsors – Fluent Finance Abroad, NIBC, Cleaver Fulton Rankin, W.C Anthony & Sons, McAtamney’s Family Butchers & Fonacab to name a few, without their support and the hard work of the team, the event could not have happened.”

The monies raised at the gala ball, and other events NSPCC NI run every year, have a huge impact on the children, adults and families the charity supports. Without the help of the local community, NSPCC NI could not run its services and make a difference to those it cares for, providing children a future they deserve.

Catherine Nuttall, Head of Fundraising at NSPCC Northern Ireland, said, “we are so grateful to Amanda & Terry Bell and the whole team at Bell & Company for their incredible support for the NSPCC’s services across NI. The Casino Royale Ball was a wonderful event and we really appreciate everyone’s generosity and hard work which really will change the lives of local abused and vulnerable children and young people.

“Sadly, our services are more in demand than ever. At the NSPCC, we depend on wonderful supporters like Bell & Co for 90% of our income so their support truly is crucial. We look forward to continuing our great partnership with them.”
