Not the sexiest start to 2020, but...

Not the sexiest start to 2020.

*An excellent book by Niall Harbison

So now we are all back at it…in the 1st quarter of 2020, we will be posting articles on the debt issues and pressures that are most prevalent with struggling businesses, especially SME’s.

I have used as the title, a book by Niall Harbison. It’s good in every sense, not least the clarity it brings.

Debt is all-consuming – don’t let it overtake your life, look after yourself and those dear to you. It’s hard when the pressure is on.

A simple action plan to attack the pressure of debt includes:

  1. Speak to someone you trust
  2. Positively take action
  3. Look after yourself
  5. Plan the work, work the plan
  6. Get the clarity, so you can do your day job (FFS!).

The areas we will covering in the next few weeks are:

  • Look after #1 – You
  • Peer 2 Peer Debts
  • Trade Creditor Pressure
  • Personal Guarantee
  • Bank Fallouts
  • HMRC
  • Property Leases
  • Stuck in Litigation
  • HP & Asset Finance
  • Bad Debts – Cash Flow Issues
Not the sexiest subject and not the happiest note to kick off 2020, but reality doesn’t go away.

Please do someone a favour who is struggling with any form of debt and pass them this blog.
